Overall Job Function: Assists Management team in overseeing floor coverage, driving sales, merchandise presentation, customer service, and operational functions within the store including opening and closing the store according to H&M guidelines
 
Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

Customer Service
  • Maintain the high quality of H&M customer service by providing the best shopping experience for each customer and role modeling the 5 basic demands
Job Knowledge
  • Ensure that all merchandise is properly received and placed on the floor in a timely manner and according to merchandise guidelines
  • Execute merchandising campaigns, promotions, activities and customer rounds as assigned by store management
  • Address any loss prevention and safety issues that may occur while on duty and bring any escalated concerns to management team
  • Ability to suspend an employee with discretion and approval from Store Manager or District Manager if only manager on duty
  • Serve as second interviewer and note taker for staff interviews
  • Act as a management witness, on behalf of H&M, in employee discussions as needed
Efficiency
  • Perform all store routines, including the opening and closing of the store; follows all company practices and procedures; work with timekeeping and scheduling system and controls and complete reductions
  • Maximize sales through commercial focus and take action to obtain highest level of profitability for the store
  • Actively use sales information to make business decisions regarding merchandising
  • Approve timesheets on a daily basis in the timekeeping system
  • May be assigned overall store responsibility in absence of Store Manager or Department Manager when opening or closing store
Team Player
  • Assist the management team in the day-to-day supervision of staff by directing and overseeing workflow within the store
  • Assist the management team with the training and developing of Sales Advisors on the operational side of the business by following up on clear goals and providing timely feedback
  • Ensure that all employee issues are immediately brought to the attention of management team

Minimum Candidate Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of retail customer service experience
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus
  • Open availability based on business need
  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions; push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance
  • Ability to climb a ladder and use a stepstool

Overall Job Function:  Responsible for leading the Online Marketing team and strategically planning the local online marketing calendar and new online initiatives to drive traffic and sales to the online and physical stores. 
 
Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
  • Leads and builds up the Online Marketing team to support the online sales and marketing goals.
  • Strategically plans local calendar activities and optimizes timing, exposure and commercial idea to drive online traffic and sales and support store activities
  • Keeps track of global online and store campaigns as well as global plans for hm.com, newsletters, print marketing, SEM, push notifications and online merchandising activities. Identifies and initiates local adaptions based on the retail calendar and customer behavior in the local market.
  • Sets the seasonal and weekly traffic forecasts together with US Sales team, HQ media planner and HQ Sales planner
  • Creates, updates and shares the local online commercial and marketing plan with local and global sales teams
  • Represents online marketing in commercial meetings to optimize the local execution and activities for each concept
  • Responsible for managing the affiliate program, affiliate agencies and setting the publisher strategy for H&M
  • Works closely with the HQ Marketing department on the local strategy for SEM, direct mail, newsletters and other online marketing channels
  • Responsible for managing activities to increase email subscribers, app downloads and repeat purchase customers
  • Provides reports on local traffic, online channels and touch points results and customer behavior online to help optimize activities
  • Identifies strategic online partnerships and initiatives to find new ways to drive traffic and sales and increase the online marketing reach
  • Works closely with the HQ Marketing department to set and follow up on the online traffic goals
  • Provides feedback and input to HQ on local market needs and competitive landscape to optimize online campaigns, tools and processes, online marketing channels and functionality on hm.com
  • Educates the local sales and marketing teams on online marketing strategies and best practices
  • Proactively seeks updated knowledge of industry trends in advertising, marketing and fashion in order to implement new strategies

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in online retail preferably fashion

District Controlling
Our district controller MBA internship offers you a thrilling opportunity to embrace your entrepreneurial spirit and increase your business knowledge. Because this role involves finding ways to maximize sales and minimize variable costs, the ideal candidate should be a strong analytical thinker. The internship includes two weeks of in-store experience in one of our high-volume stores across the country.
Support Office
This is what other companies refer to as their “corporate office,” except we aren’t corporate. Here, we support our stores through marketing, finance, public relations, interior design, architecture and so many more functions. We reserve these internships for our current employees who are looking to develop with the company as a majority of our Support Office are internal associates from our stores.
