Duties will include: 

PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS 

Media list updating & research

Drafting and sending press pitches

Engaging with the press via Twitter

research other brands to collaborate with, request samples for photoshoots

write articles for our blog and other publications

Launch party press invites


SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING 

Creating and implementing content for Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook

Researching and identifying influencers

Engaging with influencers via instagram

Kickstarter prep and marketing


QUALIFICATIONS 

Strong knowledge of fashion and lifestyle influencers, websites and publications

Strong knowledge of social media sites, especially Twitter and Instagram

Attention to detail, double and triple checks work for spelling, grammar and other errors

Hard working, stays on task, delivers measurable results

Must be able to take initiative on projects and work independently

Positive, Honest, Dependable, Respectful, Professional

Experience in public relations and fashion is a plus


Internship Compensation: College Credit

Elisabeth Ashlie, an online jewelry and goods boutique, is looking to add another member to the team! We're seeking a Social Media and Marketing Manager to plan, create and schedule content for social media and our email list. The hours are incredibly flexible, but the candidate must be able to dedicate 5-10 hours each week. We're looking for someone with previous work experience in this arena, whether you have your own blog or active social media account, have worked on social media management before, or have some other work experience that is relevant to this position.

Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Description

Essential Duties
      Manage and produce content for social media accounts:  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and the NAU Campus Recreation website. 
      Collaborate with Campus Recreations programs:  Aquatics, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Outdoor Adventures, Fitness & Wellness, Challenge Course, Climbing Wall, Informational Recreation and Member Services to develop and promote events, services and community.  
      Utilize department marketing calendar to create a monthly social media plan that is organized in Hootsuite.  The social media plan includes balanced representation across Campus Recreation, increased engagement within online presence while producing original content following brand standards.
      Work with Assistant Director to analyze key performance indicators such as:  audience growth, profile and engagement, content reach, etc.
      Assist with marketing efforts and other duties as assigned.
      Ensure that social media post and messaging use inclusive language and represent Campus Recreation and NAU respectfully and with integrity.

Experience and Knowledge Desired
      Communications/Marketing or related degree is welcome but not required with relevant work experience.
      Documented work experience in social media or marketing.
      Effective writing skills and keywording toward perspective audience.
      Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms. 
      Experience with Photography, Videography, and Graphic Design.
      Adobe Suite (Illustration, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
      Working knowledge of print and digital formats (native files, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, PDF, MP4, MOV, AVI, etc.).
      Knowledge of copyright and plagiarism laws/ethics.

Qualifications Desired
      Social and digital media knowledge and technical skills. 
      Excellent interpersonal skills. 
      Creative.
      Implement fresh and innovative ideas.
      Sport and fitness background.
      Strong communication skills across a variety of mediums.
      Ability to prioritize workflow weekly, monthly and per semester.

Requirements
      Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at NAU with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
      Minimum one-year commitment.
      Must be able to work 10+ hours per week, at varying hours, but not conflicting with classes.
      Access to a DSLR camera/video and lenses and other related equipment (high quality iPhone).
      Attend meetings: staff and 1:1.
      Serve as a department ambassador and positively promote the department at events and activities.

Additional: Position is Safety/Security Sensitive. The Campus Recreation Services department requires fingerprinting and a background check.

Employment Starting Pay Rate, Dates, and Times
$8.50 - $9.50/hour depending on experience.  Start date:  Mid-April, 2018. Available to work over the summer preferred.  Work with Assistant Director to adjust summer schedule. 

Supervision 
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Assistant Director.  This position does not supervise any others.  Policy and procedure training will be provided.  Social Media platforms and technical skills training is not provided.

Internship: Phoenix Art Museum - Phoenix, AZ


The internship program at Phoenix Art Museum provides current undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates, with opportunities to work on projects directed by Museum staff. Interns are introduced to the broad spectrum of museum work and to Museum staff, departments, programs and operations. Internships are offered in three sessions per year, Spring, Summer and Fall. Summer interns generally work 20 hours per week; schedules may vary slightly to accommodate departmental needs. The summer internship session begins in early June and lasts for eight weeks, for a total of at least 160 work hours. Fall/Spring semester and special-project interns' schedules vary according to the internship position and to accommodate class schedules, but total at least 120 work hours.
Unless otherwise noted ALL internships at Phoenix Art Museum are performed on a volunteer basis. Museum staff members aid in the intern’s pursuit of academic credit, if applicable. All interns receive a one-year membership at Phoenix Art Museum.

Job Purpose
The Northern Arizona University – Phoenix Suns and Mercury Internship is designed to provide experience to one Northern Arizona University student in a professional sports organization. Associates will learn the business of sports first-hand from industry executives in an organization that strives to be the most successful and respected professional sports league in the world.
Primary (Essential) Duties
Interns will be assigned to rotate through different departments for approximately 10-12 weeks. This will provide an opportunity to learn about how different departments play a role into the success of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury. Rotations typically will be for four weeks but may be extended to meet the needs of the business. Listed below are some of the departments that the intern may rotate into:
·       Marketing Partnerships (Activation & Sales)
·       Phoenix Mercury
·       Marketing
·       Sales
·       Game Operations
·       Public Relations
·       Guest Experience
·       Human Resources


Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Dependable and detail-oriented
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills


Experience/Education Requirements

  • Must be a current Northern Arizona University student and meet all the requirements determined by NAU (see application process)
  • Sports related major preferred


Working Conditions and Physical Demands




·       Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs
  • Must have housing in the Phoenix metro area for the duration of the internship (Housing will not be provided by Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury)

Students must have completed at least 89 credit hours and have a 2.0 GPA with a minimum of a “C” grade in all classes required for your major. The Screening Committee will meet the week of April 4th to select 3-5 finalists that will move to the interview stage with the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury.
