SUMMARY:
This Fashion Merchandising Internship will be a ten week learning experience to develop a foundational knowledge of the merchandising, visual, planning, and allocation function. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment and curate a unique and original assortment for Charming Charlie. You will work in unison with merchants, planning and allocation, visual, and the sourcing team to achieve your collection.   
The 10 week program will include a variety of educational experiences. Some of which will include:
  • Learning our product lifecycle; from concept to in-store execution
  • Assist in the analysis and creation of product performance reports
  • Attend milestone meetings to gain valuable insight and knowledge on product performance
  • Learn how to build an assortment
  • Learn to create and maintain purchase orders
  • Collaborate on a Competitive Shopping project
  • Exposure to marketing/PR teams to see how product is selected for campaigns
  • Final Presentation at the end to show what you have learned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
  • Prior retail experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong mathematical capabilities with ability to analyze data
  • Strong detail-oriented and accuracy skills
