Social Media Internship

Social Media Intern – develop social media plan and create content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest for local printing company AND online planner company. Develop and maintain customer contact list and compose regular outgoing MailChimp newsletters.
Total number of hours of work per week: 5-10. We are open to students interested in a single semester or an entire year.
Special skills required: Solid understanding of appropriate business communication in traditional and new media formats. Excellent spelling and grammar. Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest interfaces. Access to smart phone for posting to Instagram. Graphic design and/or photography skills a plus.
We have specific brand identities for both businesses and will help our intern learn to speak in our voice. A student undertaking this internship will learn solid, applicable skills in content development, PR, social media marketing, and customer management. Intern will be part of a small, inclusive team, and will receive regular feedback and support.

Compensation
Unpaid. However, intern will receive free printing for school projects (during the internship) and a free custom planner (at the outset of the internship).
Requirements
Students must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and be seniors (89 credit hours) in order to qualify for formal internship credit. Students who have not achieved senior status are able to qualify for formal internship credit on a case-by-case basis.
