Belk Interns (BIP’s) are the rock stars of their field. Merchandising Opportunities:
The Merchandising Internship program is an intensive 10 week development program created to provide hands on training in the areas of Buying, Planning, Product Development or E-Commerce. As an intern, you will participate in a variety of instructor led workshops, project assignments and business overviews to prepare you for an exciting career in Merchandising.

Macy’s Merchant Omni Buying/Planning teams are directly responsible for the merchandise assortment and strategy in all Macy’s stores and e-commerce websites. A Macy’s Merchant Omni Buying/Planning Internship allows you to explore the dynamics of managing a multi-million dollar business within a corporate retail setting. As a Merchant Omni Buying/Planning intern, you’ll benefit from a structured 8-week program designed to develop your business acumen and leadership skills through a combination of classroom learning, workshops, and real-world assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with development of merchandise assortment offered in stores and on the macys.com website.
