Merchandise Assistant
Forest Highlands is a private, residential community located three miles south of Flagstaff on Highway 89-A. The centerpieces of the community are two championship golf courses. Both golf courses are ranked in the top 5 in the state of Arizona and have their own golf shops fully stocked with Men’s and Women’s apparel.
Job Description:
- The assistant’s main focus is customer relations with the Forest Highlands members. Included with customer service, the assistant will address areas of inventory control, developing store layouts, pricing and displaying merchandise. The assistant will help out in the inventory of special orders placed by the members.
- The assistant will also work closely with the golf staff and will be responsible for all areas of golf shop management. This includes but is not limited to the following duties: answering phones, selling merchandise, handling money, making golf tee times for the members, promoting golf events, and maintaining cleanliness of the golf shop.
Compensation: $12 per hour
Employee Benefits: Golf privileges are limited and must be cleared through the Golf Professional. All individuals must adhere to the member guidelines with respect to golf etiquette, club rules and proper attire. Member/Employee tournament is available for all employees to play in with members. In addition, Forest Highlands has a scholarship program that awards scholarships to deserving employee applicants.
Bonus Plan: A performance bonus potential of $500 will be awarded at the end of the season.
