The A&F Leadership Development Internships provide a fast-paced on-the-job learning environment for top university students. During the 10 week program, interns will gain exposure to the multi-billion dollar retail industry through Merchandising, Business Analytics, Finance or IT. Interns will be placed in specific areas where they will work with cross-functional teams to fully maximize profitability for our high quality brands. After two weeks of intensive training, interns will quickly take on significant responsibilities, gain exposure to senior management and have the opportunity to make an impact on our business. These highly competitive internships are unique for their entrepreneurial structure and are designed to prepare students for the full-time Leadership Development Programs.

  • INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • MERCHANDISING INTERNS Run all aspects of a multi-million dollar business, understand and translate fashion trends and work with vendors worldwide to develop the highest quality merchandise.

  • BUSINESS ANALYST INTERNS Drive the business by planning future product and assortment buys, establishing promotional cadences and strategically distributing product by channel across the world 

  • FINANCE INTERNS Drive the growth and profitability of our major retail brands through strategic forecasting and business analysis in roles such as Real Estate, Store Operations, Planning & Analysis and more. 

  • IT INTERNS Create dynamic technical solutions for our rapidly growing business in areas such as Application Development, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, eCommerce, Project Management and Data Analytics.

    Internship: Social Media / Marketing Intern - Scottsdale, AZ - My Little Posy

    My Little Posy INTERNSHIP

    My Little Posy is a small, tight-knit team looking for bright interns to bounce around ideas, conduct research, and jump into creating innovative campaigns. Interns are members of the My Little Posy team and we grant them the responsibilities to be able to play that role. We expect you to be able to conduct a project with little to no guidance of the basics, but we also are here to take care of our interns’ learning curves.
    Our internship program is open exclusively to current college students and is eligible for college credit only. (If you can’t get college credit approved by your university, we can’t take you under our wing *crying emoji*). Perks include a relaxed dress code, one on one floral design training and education, a complimentary My Little Posy flower bouquet/week, and a great work environment. The positions are not remote so interns must be able to work in our studio (South Scottsdale) for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Other requirements include your own computer, smartphone, transportation and an understanding of the My Little Posy brand.
    Social Media/Marketing intern 
    • You are a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited four-year university 
    • You can commit to at least 15 hours a week 
    • You are able to get university units/credits for this position or use it as a resume builder 
    • You LOVE flowers 
    • You have a love of social media and are passionate about creating projects that will engage users at a growing rate 
    • You love photo styling or have a good eye (you troll fashion bloggers’ IG’s, etc.) 
    • You are comfortable being in front of the camera (your face will not be shown) for lifestyle poses 
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • You have a love for startups! 
    • You have proficient knowledge of: Facebook; Twitter; Instagram; Pinterest; and Google + (you don’t need to know everything about Google +, just be eager to dabble in it) 
    • You are willing to commute to our South Scottsdale office from neighboring areas 
    • You are available for a start date in March and can stick around until at least May
    You will be responsible for growing our social media followers. Day to day responsibilities include working with Nezza (Boss Lady) and the Creative/Photography intern to take and edit photos for the My Little Posy website and social media channels, styling shoots, engagement on all social media platforms, making sure platforms are up to date and reaching out to media companies to gain more exposure. Social media interns will also be expected to record statistics for growth and coordinate and schedule out posts.

Participants will experience 10 weeks of hands-on learning focused primarily on the product life cycle and gaining perspectives from cross-functional team members in our Buying, eCommerce, Marketing, and Distribution departments.
    Responsibilities:
    In addition, participants will have the opportunity to work on a number of projects and deliverables, including the following:
    • Understanding and executing departmental strategies
    • Maintaining assortment sheets and compiling reports
    • Supporting the team in the purchase order process
    • Preparing for meetings
    • Maintaining samples
    • Performing competitive analysis research

    SUMMARY:
    This Fashion Merchandising Internship will be a ten week learning experience to develop a foundational knowledge of the merchandising, visual, planning, and allocation function. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment and curate a unique and original assortment for Charming Charlie. You will work in unison with merchants, planning and allocation, visual, and the sourcing team to achieve your collection.   
    The 10 week program will include a variety of educational experiences. Some of which will include:
    • Learning our product lifecycle; from concept to in-store execution
    • Assist in the analysis and creation of product performance reports
    • Attend milestone meetings to gain valuable insight and knowledge on product performance
    • Learn how to build an assortment
    • Learn to create and maintain purchase orders
    • Collaborate on a Competitive Shopping project
    • Exposure to marketing/PR teams to see how product is selected for campaigns
    • Final Presentation at the end to show what you have learned
